Tidy Towns is a community initiative that encourages villages to enhance their local environment through clean-up campaigns, planting projects, and general beautification efforts. In our village, this program aims to create a collective spirit, bringing residents together to take pride in their surroundings.. The Tidy Towns ethos fosters not just a cleaner village, but also a deeper sense of community, where everyone feels responsible for and invested in creating a welcoming, sustainable environment for future generations.

In the Rockcorry vision plan for 2030 the tidy towns was identified as a key driver for implementing some of the changes that were identified to make the village a better place for all.

Below we have broken down the vision plan into the various sections.

As can be seen particularly in the vision plan champions and enabling actions sections the tidy towns will play a key role in transforming our existing community spaces as well as providing a means to apply for funding to create new and improved community spaces and amenities.
