In order to fund our activities, RCDA is holding a Townlands Table Quiz on Friday, 7th February at 8pm sharp in St Mary’s Hall, Rockcorry. Our hope is that as many teams as possible from all the townlands in the area will enter. Townlands may enter more than one team, €20 for a table of 4. There will also be a raffle for spot prizes on the night. We are now asking each team hoping to take part to register your interest in advance by texting or emailing the name of your townland and your team captain/leader to Pascal Smyth on 0868161028 or pascalsmyth@gmail.com. This is important as we need to know in advance how many tables we need to facilitate. Please support our fundraiser while also enjoying a good night’s craic.

RCDA is an overarching community led structure or ‘umbrella organisation’ with the following aims:

  • to lead the implementation of the Rockcorry Vision Plan 2030,
  • to co-ordinate the work of a range of local community organisations in a spirit of cooperative collaboration,
  • to communicate with public bodies (eg., Monaghan Co. Co., Leader) to help facilitate or resource the implementation of the Vision Plan,
  • to establish partnerships, where required (eg., Rockcorry Tidy Towns), to implement projects detailed in the Vision Plan,
  • to support and advise RCDA affiliate member groups with funding applications,
  • to communicate the progress against the action plans to the wider Rockcorry community and consult and engage on specific projects as required.

We are formally inviting all voluntary community groups/organisations in the Rockcorry area to affiliate with RCDA. This invitation is also open to local business enterprises. We also invite individuals to become members by completing a short application form to be found on our website – Sign Up here

The officers/directors of RCDA are as follows:
